Total Solar Eclipse Party

Join us, along with our Honorary Chairman, Dr. Robert Wells, and presenting sponsor SKYY Vodka, for a day of wonder. The 2017 Total Solar Eclipse will be the only one to cross Georgia in almost 80 years, and Hambidge is at the center of the path of totality. (What does it mean to be on the path of totality? Read this wonderful description.)

We are planning a very special day to celebrate. You’ll savor a gourmet lunch by Alisa Barry of Bella Cucina, farm-to-table finger foods by our own Hambidge chef, Lori Speed, a special celestial dessert created by Kathryn King, the pastry chef of Aria in Atlanta, and specialty cocktails featuring SKYY vodka, plus wine and beer.

Two new site-specific sculptures on the Hambidge grounds will be unveiled, one by Gregor Turk and one by Scott Hocking (in partnership with Dashboard), as well as our new renovation of Kendrick’s Kitchen. The Chamber Cartel will perform their unique and captivating interpretation of classical chamber music. Enjoy the afternoon with a Cosmic Croquet tournament, live music by Shaky Jane, and other fun activities, and be ready for the main event - the Total Solar Eclipse - at 2:30pm.

Put on your croquet whites, come to the Hambidge Center, and stand in amazement of the heavens.
