The Great Folk Art Parade
July 7, 10am-5pm
at the Hambidge Center

Folk art (self-taught art) is as much a part of the South’s culture as sweet tea and pecan pie, from its humble beginnings as a means of passing time and the need to create, to the success of galleries and artists in the latter part of the 20th century. It is vital to the landscape of our history to preserve and protect its characters of the past, and the duty of us all to keep the spirit alive for future generations.

Join us for a festive day of art and fun! We’ll have artists’ booths set up outside in front of the gallery, and food and entertainment will be available throughout the day.

This fabulous folk art sale, created by Kip Ramey and Peter Loose, will include artists Brent Wykle, Charlie Dingler, Celena Schoen, Chris Hubbard, Michelle Humphrey, Eric Legge, Fawne Derosia, Jim Shores, Kat Moore, Peter Loose, Kristin Davis, Marion Coleman, Paradise Gardens, Polly on the Avenue, Kip Ramey, Cher Shaffer, Sam Granger, Stanley Ferguson, Suzie Sue Smith and many more.

Location: Hambidge Center, 105 Hambidge Court, Rabun Gap, Georgia 30568.
Gallery phone: 706-746-5718
