“My time at Hambidge was  an incredibly profound and magical time, even more so thanks to the director, Ife Williams, and the resident coordinator, Mindy as well as the other wonderful residents. I was introduced with the group of incoming residents by Mindy to the Hambidge campus and history in such a thoughtful way, where we learned things about the unique biodiversity in the area, as well as the crucial violent history of the trail of tears and the thousands of years before that where groups indigenous to the land thrived. Even without hearing these important histories, I could feel the life, darkness, and presence of these mountains and woods. My experience here greatly informed my practice at Hambidge.”
