New Distinguished Fellowship Announced in Partnership with The Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (GaNMWA)

In its ongoing commitment to supporting women artists, the Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (GaNMWA) will partner with the Hambidge Center to offer a summer 2024 Distinguished Fellowship to a female-identifying artist working in Georgia. This merit-based award includes a two-week residency and a stipend. We salute their dedication, and are thankful to be partnering with GANMWA to forward our mission of nurturing creativity.

Founded in 1986 to support the mission of the Washington, DC-based National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, is composed of a group of Atlanta critics, curators, artists, arts patrons, and members of some of the most influential arts organization boards in the state. As a committee of the museum, they broaden the membership of the museum, create events highlighting the accomplishments of women, and promote women artists in Georgia to help them achieve national and international recognition.
