ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Join us for an afternoon centered around learning new skills and building community. Maxwell Blankenship will lead a demo on hand tufting and crochet techniques at the new Hambidge HIVE. This will be followed by an open group discussion and individual open studio working time. The event is meant to encourage textile art exploration, while creating a space for attendees to work on personal art projects.

ABOUT THE LEADER

Maxwell Blankenship is a hospitality designer and textile artist based in Atlanta GA, with an undergraduate degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design - where he studied interior design and fiber art. Maxwell showcased a solo art show in Memphis, TN and most recently a hand tufted installation in Atlanta, GA.
