Save the date for our annual auction this spring at the Hambidge Hive! We’re bringing the spirit of Hambidge into the heart of the city once again, this time with a focus on the deep, generative power of contemporary art and craft. From March through April, we will showcase immersive installations, ceramic cups, and hundreds of works of art; host a NEW chef-crafted luncheon; and activate the space with creative events inspired by “Hand, Material, Mind”—all set against sweeping city views.

The Crafted Table Luncheon, April 15
The Crafted Table brings together voices from fashion, interiors, contemporary craft, and the artist community for a conversation about how handmade objects shape the way we gather, nourish, and connect. Using the table as both a literal and symbolic centerpiece, panelists will explore the human stories, materials, and creative processes behind the objects that bring us together—and the importance of time and place in meaningful making.
ATL AscenT: An Artist Reception
The American Craft Council
Thursday, March 19, 2026, 6–9 PM
The American Craft Council (ACC) and The Hambidge Center will host a collaborative opening reception celebrating Atlanta’s creative community while launching two major initiatives: the 2026 Hambidge Hive Auction and ACC’s announcement of the 2027 ACC Atlanta Fair. The event will feature a micro-market of regional craft artists, artist installations, and remarks from organizational and city leaders. The fair will feature a dozen top craft artists from the region who will be demonstrating their process and sharing works for sale. Free and open to the public.

VOLUNTEER AT THE HIVE
From gallery prep and artwork intake to event support, drink tickets, docenting, and post-auction artwork pick-up, there are lots of ways to jump in. All volunteer shifts take place in Uptown Atlanta, and includes a free ticket to the auction for 4+ hours of volunteer support (plus our undying appreciation).
