This group exhibition is a dynamic survey of works representing Georgia State University and University of Georgia professors and MFA students alongside immersive installations by Georgia artists at Hambidge Hive, Uptown Atlanta. Join us for drinks, music, and a party to celebrate the second and unique iteration of the Atlanta satellite, Hambidge Hive!
There will be two artist performances: at 7:00pm, Haylee Anne will activate her hanging work through a conversation with the body with assistance from artist Angela Bortone. At 8:00pm, Samurl Horgan will perform an interpolation of Samuel Beckett’s short play “Not I”, intervening upon the text by means of documentary audio, radio-controlled vehicles, and a frantic sock puppet.
Work by Blake Jacobson, “Under the Hood.”
