Hambidge Center Launches Hambidge Hive at Uptown Atlanta: Immersive Art, Skyline Views, and the 30th Annual Hambidge Auction
ATLANTA, GA — This August and September, the Hambidge Center will transform Uptown Atlanta’s 15th floor into Hambidge Hive—a 30,000-square-foot creative ecosystem in the sky. Part gallery, part living laboratory, the Hive will feature immersive installations, experimental works, pop-ups, curator-led tours, and unexpected moments of connection—all framed by sweeping skyline views of Atlanta.
The Hive’s first major activation will be Hambidge’s 30th Annual Auction & Fundraiser on Saturday, September 13, with a free Artist Opening onThursday, August 28. This year, Hambidge proudly honors Susan and Ron Antinori for their visionary leadership, which has shaped and elevated Hambidge’s creative presence in Georgia and beyond.
Thanks to the generosity of Uptown Atlanta, the Hive will showcase site-specific installations by elevenGeorgia-based artists including: Paul Stephen Benjamin, Mike Black, Maxwell Blankenship, Grace Kisa, Scott Ingram & Greg Walker, Charlie Mitchell, Marryam Moma, Roberto Navarrete, Carol Santos, Joel Silverman, and T.W. Pilar. These works, created specifically for the Hive, offer bold, interactive experiences that embody Hambidge’s spirit of risk-taking and cross-disciplinary creativity. The 2025 Hambidge Auction will feature more than 150 works from our renowned network of artists, with prices starting at $200 and coveted pieces valued at up to $10,000. Bidders can acquire works by Aineki Traverso, Steven L. Anderson, Shanequa Gay, Lonnie Holley, Rachel K. Garceau, Donte K. Hayes, Masud Olufani, Ato Ribeiro, Rocio Rodriguez, Tony Hernandez, and many more.

We are especially excited to offer collaborative artworks in our auction this year. Participating artists have been encouraged to work with other creatives to produce a one-of-a-kind piece that represents both practices and reflects the multi-disciplinary essence of Hambidge. Established in 1934, the Hambidge Center nurtures creativity in all walks of life through a multidisciplinary residency program, innovative workshops, environmental initiatives, and community programs on its pristine wooded 600-acre creative sanctuary in the North Georgia Mountains. The Hambidge Hive provides studio space and dynamic arts programming in Atlanta.
